Visitors Guide

Patients need a calm, peaceful and infection-free environment to recover faster. We are happy to welcome visitors at designated hours. Our role is to create an atmosphere of holistic health for all our patients and we request visitors’ kind cooperation.

VISITING HOURS:

Non ICU Timings: 4.00 to 6.00 p.m Only one Patient allowed.

ICU Timings: 4.00 to 6.30 p.m Only one Patient allowed.

Keeping in mind the safety and health of children (Age 0 – 12 years), Visitors must be 12 years of age or older.

CHILDREN BELOW 12 YEARS OF AGE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO VISIT THE PATIENT.

Passes will be issued at the time of Admission ONLY.

  • It is compulsory that one attendant is available with the patient.
  • It is mandatory to display Attendant and or Visitor card while you are in hospital premises/ In lift/ to the security/ Ward.
  • ONLY 1 PERSON PER PASS ALLOWED
  • Hospital follows ZERO TOLERANCE to Violence in any form in the hospital premises.
  • Return the Attendant & Visitor pass to Nursing Desk at Discharge.

SECURITY STAFF/SAFETY MEASURES:

  • Our hospital is manned by our security staff, 24-hours a day. Please extend due courtesy and respect to them at all times, as they carry out their duties.
  • We care for the patient’s welfare and faster recovery. There shall be zero tolerance for any screaming and yelling, threats, verbal abuse, and acts of physical violence, on our premises.
  • Carrying of arms and weapons in the hospital premises is strictly prohibited.
  • For the safety of all involved, we also encourage you to inform the hospital staff if any suspicious activity is observed.
  • For safety reasons, our Security Staff have been have authorized to remove / clear all unattended bags and parcels. Therefore, please do not leave any of your personal belongings unattended.
  • Our security staff has been authorized to move around on the floors to ensure that all visitors leave the Hospital premises as soon as the visiting hours are over. You are requested to cooperate with them.

SMOKING AND ALCOHOL:

The entire hospital is a “NO SMOKING and NO ALCOHOL” zone. For the general safety and health of patients, visitors and staff, absolutely No Smoking and no alcohol consumption is allowed in the hospital premises, including toilets.

General Guidelines:

The following are our hospital’s general guidelines for visitors.

  • Patient in Isolation: If the patient is in isolation, there is a high chance of getting infected. Our hospital staff takes all preventive measures. Hence, no visitors will be allowed to visit patients in isolation.
  • To maintain patient privacy and confidentiality, visitors may be asked to leave the room during tests or treatments, or when a doctor must consult with a patient.
  • Patients often have to be transferred around the hospital – from theatres and rooms – so please give them priority when you use the lift.
  • To afford more privacy and to cut the risk of cross-infection, visitors should, where
  • possible, use the visitor’s toilets, rather than the patient’s toilet.
  • Children (above 12 year) should not be left unattended in the hospital premises. They must be accompanied by an adult.
  • To respect the privacy of our patients, visitors and staff, taking photographs, audio or video recording using any devices (camera, video-camera, phone-camera, voice recorder) are not allowed within the hospital premises. The hospital reserves the right to request for such recordings to be deleted.
  • For faster recovery, the patient is advised structured diet plan by the dietician. Unless instructed by the Consultant or Dietician, outside food is not allowed in the premises.
  • We request visitors to strictly not to sleep on the bed of their admitted patient or on any vacant bed in the ward. Kindly note that the patient will be charged in case his/her relative occupies any vacant bed.
  • It’s best not to sit on the patient’s bed, as this can spread germs. Use the chairs provided.
  • Do not put your feet on the patient’s bed.
  • Do not touch the patient’s wounds or any medical equipment they’re attached to, such as drips or catheters. This can cause infections.
  • Do not use the patients’ toilets. Use the hospital’s public toilet.
  • Do not share a patient’s toiletries, tissues or hospital equipment with other patients or leave them in communal areas.

“Absolutely No Tipping” Policy:

Our hospital has a very strict “Absolutely No Tipping” Policy. Therefore, please do not tip our employees. As a service Organization, we wish to extend every courtesy to all our patients. All of our employees have been instructed not to accept any tip in kind or cash.

Flowers, Plants and Balloons:

We understand your desire to cheer a patient with flowers, plants and balloons. However, we have certain restrictions regarding these:

  • No balloons will be permitted.
  • We prefer that you do not bring any flowers.
  • ICU patients will not be permitted any floral arrangements (fresh or artificial) or plants, due to the nature or severity of their illness.
  • No decorations should be stuck on, or nailed to, the walls.

CELL PHONE / MOBILES:

  • Do not speak loudly on mobile phones in corridors, cubicles and patient rooms as this disturbs the patients and others present.
  • Cell phones should be placed on silent mode.
  • The use of mobiles is strictly prohibited in the ICU and other areas where signals can interfere with the working of medical equipment.

PERSONAL ITEMS AND VALUABLES:

You are responsible for your valuables and belongings. Therefore, please safeguard these. The hospital will not be responsible, in any way, for any theft or loss of your personal items.

CLEANLINESS IN PATIENT ROOMS AND SURROUNDINGS:

  • To prevent any infection, please do not sit or lie down on the patient’s bed.
  • In the interest of ore touching a newborn baby, please make sure you sanitize / wash your hands.
  • Visitors with fever, cold sores, cough, nasal drainage, colds, diarrhoea, or any contagious disease should not visit patients.
  • Surroundings should always be kept neat and clean. Food, sweets, wrappers and garbage should not be left lying around the place as this is very unhygienic.
  • We would appreciate if you help us to keep the hospital premises clean – including communal areas, entrances, lifts and stairwells. Do not litter the place with paper or garbage. Do not spit.

FIRE SAFETY:

  • In case of fire, please try to remain calm. Do not use the lifts. Use the staircase,
  • Follow the “Fire Exit” signage3
